Barrett ‘s true calling is helping people. With nearly two decades of experience, she excels in trial law, focusing on cases involving injured seamen and offshore workers, personal injury from unsafe premises, motor vehicle accidents, and injuries to workers in the oil and gas industry. Her extensive trial experience has led to numerous victories for her clients. Barrett graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Certificate in Maritime Law from Tulane Law School in 2005. She began her career at major New Orleans defense firm where she tried and won cases in Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas as well as all over the world, including France, England and Norway. Barrett is a dedicated plaintiff’s attorney who passionately advocates for the rights of individuals and their families. She builds strong, lasting relationships with her clients, working diligently to provide them with the highest level of legal representation. Her commitment extends beyond the courtroom, ensuring clients feel supported and cared for throughout the entire legal process. Barrett is a member of the Louisiana State Bar, the US Court of Appeal for the Fifth Circuit, the US District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, the US District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana, the US District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas and the US District Court for the Southern District of Texas. She is member of Maritime Law Association of the United States, the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute and is the Co-President of WISTA- Women in International Trading and Shipping Association, New Orleans Chapter. Barrett was named SuperLawyer 2023, one of the Best Lawyers in America (Litigation-Insurance) in 2022 and named in the Legal 500 (Transport-Shipping Litigation and Regulation) in 2021.
